Products I Live By

I've decided to show my very favorite products some love on this post. These are all the things I use every single day, that I don't think I could function without. As you'll notice, they're all pretty much your run of the mill drugstore items. I keep it simple at all times with my beauty regimen. I'll go through the makeup I can't live without in another post.

Oil of Olay body wash is the best for your buck, in my opinion. It's super luxurious and so moisture rich that it leaves me feeling soft all day long. Plus it smells really good, it's not over powering or perfume-y like some other body gels or washes.

CoverGirl Wet Slicks lip gloss in peaches and gleam. I never step outside of the house without this stuff on. It stays put pretty well and the smell is amazing...very hard not to lick my lips when I'm wearing it lol. Plus it's great for sensitive lips like mine, I'm sure I'm the only person allergic to aloe vera, so I'm thankful that its not in this gloss. If it were, my lips would swell and it would not be pretty. Ugh.

Good old cocoa butter! It's been around since before I can remember, and it's tried and true. It keeps me smooth in the summer and protected in the winter. I always put it on before bed so I can wake up extra soft. It works wonders on the heels of my feet and my knees and elbows.

This stuff is a godsend! I love Cetaphil! Once I started cleaning my face with this stuff it cleared my problem areas right up...within days actually. It's very gentle, it has no fragrance, nothing to strip your skin of its natural emollients, and it's so easy to use. You can use it with or without water, twice a day and you're on your way to clearer skin, I promise.

When I'm just lounging around the house and my lips get dry, I don't reach for my CoverGirl...shoot, I have no one to impress in the house. So I use Carmex all throughout the day when I'm home. It's wonderful. Though the smell is a little much, and very much medicine-y, it makes my lips feel extra soft and kissable. I usually like to put this stuff on before bed as well, you wake up with lovely, soft lips.

Garnier Fructis leave in conditioner has saved my curls from a life of unruly frizz. I slap a handful (yes a handful, I have extremely thick hair) of this stuff on after spritzing my hair with a little water, and my curls look like I've just washed them. It moisturizes your hair like crazy and it pretty much keeps it looking tame all day. Now, I don't know how it works on straightened hair, but as I've said for my girls with curls, definitely try this product. You can't beat it for about 4 bucks from Target.

Pond's Clean Sweep makeup removing towelettes are so convenient! I love them to death, especially right after I work out and sweat (yuck). These things clean your face and leave you feeling like you've just washed with cleanser and water. They have a nice light scent and they don't irritate my skin in the least. I use them everyday, I actually need to buy some more...

Lisa's Hair Elixir by Carol's Daughter. I think this is the only think you wont find at a Wal-Mart, Target or drugstore. You have to order some though! It also works wonders on my curls, which tend to dry out and look like awful hell on some days. It's like giving my dry scalp/hair a drink of water. It's not heavy, it smells great and it seems to make my curls grow like crazy. Some of you may find the smell a bit strong, but I like it. There's no mineral oil in it either! Yay! I avoid mineral oil in my hair care products at all costs. It's extra heavy and can clog your pores. That's a big no-no.

Okay, so now you know some of the products I use on a day to day. See, nothing too complicated! I'd love to hear from anyone else who wants to share the products they can't live without. Mainly because I always love trying out new things lol.

Stay beautiful ladies!
xoxo

I'm a curly girl as well. Which of the Garnier Fructis do you use. I tried one and all it did was leave white stuff all over my hair. I'm a 4b so I need some good stuff. I will order some of the Lisa's Hair Elixer and try it. I can't live without my Herbal Essence Twisted Curls Conditioner, my fake Neutrogena oil from WalMart, my Natural Ice lip chap, and any lip gloss

I love your hair Nemesis! Thanks for sharing your fave products :) I use Garnier's Sleek and Shine leave in conditioner for frizzy, dry and unmanageable hair. You do have to work it in pretty well, but it does wonders for my curls, which dry out a lot.
