Style File: New Years Eve Edition

Let's take a look at what celebs chose to wear to ring in the new year. You know your opinion is always wanted and appreciated.


Jennifer Hudson at Setai in Miami wearing a hot, white pencil dress and a matching jacket. I'm not mad at Miss Hudson. I love this on her, it makes her glow. Not too sure about her shoe situation though. Everything else is on point, hair is cute and trendy, makeup is flawless, and her accessories are perfect.


Kelis rang in 2008 with hubby Nas (not pictured) at Tao with the diva herself Mariah Carey. As far as my best dressed goes, I'm going to have to give it to Kelis. Her dress is fly! The yellow looks beautiful on her brown skin and it fits her perfectly. I also love the feather detail, and her hair and makeup are both on point.


Mary J. Blige was over at MTV for the new year. I'm not so sure I'm feeling this get up. I'm confused by it...absolutely. But she always gets points for flawless makeup. I wont get on the tired blond wig right now. I still love me some Mary though! She tried.


Chrsitina Milian is absolutely killing everyone in the room with this Herve Leger! That's all that really needs to be said lol. She looks beautiful, nice choice of dress Leger's have been very popular this year and yet I believe she's the only one I spotted rocking it on New Years.
I'm not feeling Eve's dress too much. It's just blah for me. Oh, and I'm completely ignoring Ashley Simpson over there on the side. At first glance I didn't even recognize her.

The beautiful and talented Jennifer Hudson began to win us over in 2004 on American Idol, and has continued to do so over the years. She took everyone by storm with her amazing vocal range, charming personality and her average girl image that touched us all. Well that image began to blossom, as did her career when she hit the silver screen in 2006 with the phenomenal movie Dreamgirls. Jennifer has made the transition from reality show star to Hollywood A-Lister in no time and her style has taken an equally exciting journey. There was no person more deserving of the first Style Evolution post than Jennifer Hudson. She's stepped her faboulosity (to quote Kimora) up to 10, and she's still going! Congrats to you Miss Hudson for being an effortless bombshell beauty.
